We had some great news the other week that we can now share with you. Our sci-fi thriller feature screenplay, Residual, is through to the Quarter Finals of the Academy Nicholl Fellowship Screenwriting prize. It is one of 379 selected from 7,511 submitted screenplays to reach this stage so it's something to be proud of even if it doesn't progress any further. We should find out whether we're through to the Semi Finals in early September. Should we be one of up to five Finalists the prize is $35,000. For anyone that isn't aware of the project, it has for a long time been our "baby" of sorts and is our planned debut feature that is edging closer to becoming a reality all the time with producer Ed Barratt of Hook Pictures. It's fantastic to have it recognised by the Academy at this level and gives us great confidence as we move forward with the project.
